Attending Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in Style

Visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays is absolutely beautiful. There are elaborate decorations literally EVERYWHERE you turn! My family and I traveled to Walt Disney World during Christmas time this year and we’d all agree that one of the best decorated places on property, in our opinion, is not in the theme park...

It’s the Grand Floridian hotel! The lobby is breathtaking during Christmas. There is a massive Christmas tree and a life sized gingerbread house selling treats from its window. It quite literally smells like Christmas!

This gorgeous decor, combined with our attendance at one of our favorite meals of the week at their onsite restaurant, made it so special!

Some of the character buffets at Walt Disney World often receive bad reviews for the food being sub par. Despite the bad food ratings, this doesn’t seem to be affecting the attendance at those restaurants because they are booked solid 6 months in advance. (Yup, 6 months. Crazy I know!) Character meals are great to be able to experience the characters without the lines. We were pleasantly surprised to indulge in amazing food and at the same time, have some of the best character interactions ever!

The experience is called Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It’s an elegant buffet dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Evil Stepmother and The Stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, mingling with guests at each table. The stepsisters were hysterical and very LOUD - true to character.

We ran out of space in our autograph book and one of the stepsisters, Anastasia, made it a point to flip through it to find out where Prince Charming and Cinderella had signed their name. She said with sarcasm, “Oh...They have their own page. How fascinating.”

We planned for this vacation for over a year and this is the dinner they were super exited about. They knew they would be meeting Cinderella and the Prince and wanted to wear their fancy “princess dresses.”The amount of compliments the girls received that night while wearing their dresses, from not only the characters but from a ton of random people in the hotel, really made them feel special. It’s hard not to stand out in a crowd with dresses like these!

If you’re a girl mom, you might be able to relate to this phrase all too well...”Holiday Dress Meltdown!” I’ve had my fair share of them and they aren’t pretty. Beautiful dresses don’t have to be uncomfortable or itchy!

We are officially in love with Kids Dream dresses! They have a very large selection of special occasion dresses with varied lengths, styles and colors to choose from with an easy online sizing guide.

The fabric is sturdy and soft, including the tulle underneath which peeks out of the bottom of their dresses giving them a unique look! They hold up nicely in the wash too!

The attention to detail is stunning. Their dresses shimmer under different lighting and the bows are removable! My girls like using the bows as hair accessories to compliment their dresses. For this particular dinner, one chose not to wear her bow at all and the other chose to wear it for only half of the night.  Pick your battles moms. ;-)
